Those are homemade keto roasted spiced pecans. And they are delicious! Every time I make keto quiche or keto pumpkin custard, I have leftover egg whites. Great protein but figuring out how to use them was a task. But after finding a spiced nut recipe that called for frothed egg whites, then tweaking the recipe a bit, these spiced nuts are my go to... Because we keep eating them as quick as I can make them. :-)
Back at out-of-town work. Staying at a place with limited kitchen resources and I can still make a fabulous, healthy breakfast.
I definitely have my go-to breakfast staples, but I mix it up a little with whatever I have around. This time, I added some extra asparagus and tossed in a few tomatoes with my avocado.
Homemade Watermelon Concentrate
It's HOT out there. Hydration is ALWAYS important EVERYDAY but particularly in this kind of heat.
I just finished taking a small watermelon and making fresh watermelon juice with my VitaMix.
This is concentrated, just add water; so it will go a long way. I also add a dash of salt, a serving of Doctor's Best Q-C, and Ultima Replenish Grape Electrolytes. What’s For Snack, kind of an appetizer before dinner, but it eats like a meal. Especially throwing some Genoa Salami on top. Caprese with both 4% Cottage Cheese and Fresh Mozzarella, Vine Ripe Tomatoes, Fresh Basil, and Avocado, drizzled in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Salt and Pepper to taste. I was missing my fav, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Passion of Family, which is a nice addition. #whatsforsnack #keto #healthyeats #healthymito
