🍦We can't have Gas Prices going up just before the election. That would result in a terrible defeat come voting day.
The White House has drafted talking points and circulated them to the Treasury Department you will hear that a OPEC+ production cut is a "total disaster" and "hostile act." (Silent Part: against me and the Democratic Party, even though we are the ones destroying the Fossil Fuel industry.)
I want to impliment export bans on gasoline, diesel, and other refined petroleum, from the U.S. until after the election, but everyone is objecting as we do not have the pipeline capacity to get these products to the Liberal coasts of America where it is needed.
My only other option is to drain the strategic petroleum reserve to tame what will soon be soaring crude prices before the midterms.
