 Slovakia was preparing to transfer 30 Soviet-made T-72 tanks to #Kyiv and receive more modern tanks from Germany in return.  But last week, Bratislava refused round trip deliveries after Berlin offered it 15 Leopard 2A4 tanks as compensation.  According to the Slovak authorities, this is not enough to defend the country. #Russia

 An embargo on oil from the Russian Federation will cause enormous damage to many countries, incl.  Slovakia itself, Austria, the Czech Republic and even Ukraine, Richard Sulik said in an interview with Politico.

The EU shoots itself in the foot by moving to ban Russian oil imports.

 It is for this reason that the permanent representatives of the EU countries failed to reach an agreement on an embargo on the import of Russian oil.  The talks were rescheduled for May 5.
