🇧🇬🇺🇦❗Ukrainian refugees in #Bulgaria will lose the right to stay in hotels on the seashore — Spiegel
#Sofia authorities plan to transfer Ukrainian refugees from hotels on the Black Sea coast to special reception centers before the start of the holiday season.
“Bulgaria can no longer afford to entertain the citizens of #Ukraine in hotels by the sea,” Deputy Prime Minister Kalina Konstantinova said in a video message. The resettlement is expected to begin in the coming days.
According to the authorities, about 90,000 immigrants from Ukraine live in the EU country. The tourist season on the Black Sea begins in the first half of June.
Bulgaria has already made an attempt to expel the insolent guests, but "everyone owes" to the Ukrainians until they themselves decide and the program for resettling refugees deep into the country was disrupted. The transport that came for them left almost empty.
🇧🇬🇺🇦⚡#Bulgaria reduces funding for #Ukrainian #refugees
The Bulgarian government announced an imminent reduction in the amount of compensation for food and accommodation for refugees from Ukraine, placed in local hotels and recreation centers. The amount should be reduced from 40 leva (about 20 euros) to 15 leva (about 7.5 euros) per day. It is noted that 15 leva is enough to pay for accommodation and three meals a day.
