United States to retaliate against Columbia for rejecting deportation flights: reports
The U.S. Embassy Colombia is closing the visa office starting tomorrow. This comes after Colombian President Gustavo Petro denied US flights carrying Colombian deportees after initially authorizing them. Further "retaliatory" measure will be announced soon.
Trump threatens to impose sweeping economic measures against Colombia, including 25-50% tariffs, travel and visa bans, heightened border inspections, and financial sanctions, after socialist president Petro blocked deportation flights, warning these actions are "just the beginning."
