Let’s make everything “FREE”

The Left’s idea of just giving people whatever they want for “free” is not only bad policy, but bad economics.

When I was in High School (public education) my economics teacher taught us that “There is no such thing as a Free Lunch”.  And while our minds were still mush and absorbing information at an alarming rate, this teacher was teaching us about life, not just economics.

Everything costs something, and somebody has to pay.  And here in America, it’s the hard working middle class Americans who foot the bill.  We work hard and pay our taxes so other can have “free” healthcare, and “free” internet and “free” meals, and “free” money.

The Democrats are more than happy to pander to the freeloaders and willing make empty promises filled with short term happiness.  one handout (stimulus) to help in the midst of a global crisis can be tolerated and absorbed.  But after that, government needs to step up and come up with solutions to the problem, not just more bandaids.

We won’t survive as a country if we keep giving out these freebies.  Our citizens will become lazy and entitled, and our hard working contributors to society will begin to feel defeated wondering why they are working so hard when the lazy people get paid the same for doing nothing.

I quit my corporate job and started my own business because I couldn’t deal with lazy freeloaders anymore who wanted to be paid a lot of money just simply for showing up to work and being bitchy.

I’d much rather struggle and know that I earned my money fair and square.  So please, support your small businesses, support your local restaurants, support the small mom&pop stores.  These people sacrifice their families and friends in order to serve their community.  And remember, everything you get for free, is paid for by one or all of these Great Americans who are the backbone of our economy.
