Laura Loomer out fundraises Far-left Lois Frankel and outspoken Trump Critic, in Florida’s 21st District

Laura Loomer raised $154,00 during the first two months of her campaign, about $50,000 more than her rival, incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel, according to the Federal Election Commission. A spectacular feat considering Lomer is banned from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Uber, Lyft, PayPal and Venmo.
Loomer, who filed to run as a Republican in Florida’s 21st District, which is currently represented by Rep. Lois Frankel (D-Fla.). Frankel, an outspoken critic of President Trump, ran unopposed in 2018.
The first-time candidate aims to unseat Frankel’s 32 years in politics, which includes 14 years in the Florida House of Representatives, two terms as mayor of West Palm Beach and a seat in the U.S. Congress since 2013.
Karen Giorno, who served as the Florida state director for Trump’s 2016 campaign, will lead Loomer’s House bid, according to the announcement.
Loomer said in a statement: “My opponent (Rep. Lois Frankel ) cares far more about radical leftist special interests, her anti-Semitic colleagues, and protecting criminal illegal aliens from deportation than about her district and constituents here in Florida who she’s supposed to be working for, not against.”
Although Loomer raised more than incumbent U.S. Rep. Lois Frankel and her four primary rivals combined during the third quarter, Frankel has over $1.1 million to spend on the race.
The next closest Republican challenger is Michael Bluemling, Jr., a combat veteran who ran a veteran coaching service for three years. Bluemling has raised a total of $20,937.
Loomer — widely known for her stand against radical Democrats and hardhitting investagative journalisim — said in a press release that she is “humbled” by the contributions.
Loomer, who describes herself as a “conservative Jewess” and “investigative reporter,” in a press release Wednesday, Loomer claims the contributions to her campaign came from “2,314 donors in all 50 states.” Among the top donors from Palm Beach County is Boca Raton businessman Steven Alembik, who made two donations totaling $5,600.
Also making substantial donations are Margaret and Lewis Topper of Jupiter Inlet Colony, each making $5,600 contributions for Loomer’s primary and general election campaigns. Topper is president of Fast Food Systems, Inc, which owns and operates fast food businesses. During the 2018 election cycle, the couple donated nearly $700,000 to Republican candidates and committees.
Karen Giorno, Trump’s 2016 Florida State Director and chief strategist for the Loomer campaign said in the press release that Loomer’s “impressive haul for a first-time candidate,” shows that Loomer is a serious candidate and has the resources to to challenge Frankel.
“I believe this will be one of the most watched congressional races for 2020 and will be a bellweather for regaining the House,” Giorno said.
