- He was found tied to his wheelchair in his bedroom on the South African farm
- McKay was paralyzed when he was shot in the spine by robbers 20 years ago
- According to KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala, Neil McKay, 46, was killed at a farm in Winterton
- His dogs were also killed during the attack
- McKay refused to carry or even have a gun

Very sad & very telling of the situation in South Africa. If he had been armed, it most likely would have turned out differently. Praying for his dear mother who found him dead!
