The caption states: "When ICE books you a one-way Jet2 holiday to deportation. ✈️🎶 Nothing beats it!".
This post has been met with significant backlash, form the humorless alt-left, with many losing their minds, describing it as "disgusting," "sick," and "callous," accusing the White House of dehumanizing immigrants and making light of a serious issue. One must remember these people are not immigrants, they are illegals and many are charged with crimes other than just illegal entry into the USA.
It is not the first time the Trump administration has used controversial online content to promote its immigration policies. Previously, the White House posted an ASMR video featuring shackled immigrants and an AI-generated image of an immigration agent detaining a sobbing woman. The administration has also been criticized for using memes and other internet culture references in a "sinister way" to appeal to alt-right and MAGA audiences.
