Harris is in charge of the thorny issue of migration from Central America at a time when the Biden administration has struggled to manage anything, let alone keep up with a surge in migrants.

At the beginning of this year Biden appointed Vice President Kamala Harris to lead the administration’s efforts to persuade Mexico and the Central American countries to address the root causes that push people to flee their homes in the first place.

It hasn’t worked.

So why would Biden choose her to lead his administration’s efforts to work with the Central American and Mexican governments to stop the flood of illegal crossings?

Apparently, he doesn’t want to secure the border either.
