The inappropriately named Canadian Minister of Justice has declared that Trump supporters ‘oughtta be worried’ (sic) about their bank accounts being frozen. 

This was in response to being asked if the Canadian government seriously intends to seize ordinary peoples money and treat them as terrorists for a charitable donation to a peaceful protest. 

The answer is yes, and we are going to go after you in Canada and abroad if you vote differently to us. 

Not one western leader has condemned this insane, dishonest, tyrannical behaviour. 

China has pointed out the hypocrisy of condemning their crackdown on Hong Kong freedom protestors whilst Canada does this. And guess what, for once China has a fully legitimate point. Because it is the same thing. 

They say they are worried about the economic impact and Canadians being made poorer. Only they destroyed the economy with lockdowns, so clearly that’s not true. They say they are worried about the spread of a virus, only they and their supporters make themselves exempt from or regularly break the rules they inflict on others, so that’s not true. 

This is solely about crushing anyone who opposes the government doing whatever it likes. And China is right. That is no different to China. 

The truth of the matter is that a Woke Curtain has fallen across the world. And all of us in the western world are on the wrong side of it. It may be painted with rainbows and unicorns. It may have ‘build bridges not walls’ scrawled on it by official hands. But it is no different to the Berlin Wall or the Iron Curtain in intent and effect. 

We live where the tyrannies thrive.
