❗️🇩🇪German insurance companies #Allianz and #Munich Re have quietly resumed insurance for the damaged #NordStream 1 gas pipeline. According to Reuters, the insurance policy covers damage to the pipeline, as well as problems related to the interruption of its operation. In addition, the insurance will facilitate the repair work needed to resume gas supplies.

But the interesting thing is that despite Berlin's rhetoric about breaking off relations with Moscow, the German government has not objected to the insurers' actions. In fact, the Germans want to revive the JV project and are only waiting for the moment when it becomes possible.
