Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time....

God concerns Himself in the affairs of His servants, the suffering that exists in our lives is often due to our sins, or to the sins others commit against us. So we need to be patient as the way is rough and long, and He that shall come, will come (Matt 7:14/Heb 10:36).
