If anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter....

There is no comfort in suffering, when we bring it upon ourselves by our own sin and folly. All difficulties would be as nothing, were it not for lusts and corruptions within. The only way to keep our soul well is to commit it to God by prayer, seeking His will and not our own (Luke 22:42).
