Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins....

The law of God is love, His love is faithful and never ending regardless of what we’ve done (Lam 3:22) and nothing can separate us from it (Rom 8:38). It is His nature to be kind, and to give happiness; God is love (v8).
