Apple Watch 6 release date and all the Feature Leaks. Design, Renders and Price.

The Apple Watch 6 will be launched in September 7, 2020 without an Apple Event.

Apple will reportedly only be issuing a press release to confirm the new Watch and iPad. An iPhone 12 Event will be held October 12, 2020. Dates are provided via Apple leaker Jon Prosser.

One of the biggest predicted changes to the Apple Watch 6 is the removal of the Digital Crown. Instead, the Apple Watch 6 could have an optical sensor that responds to touch and gestures to navigate the smartwatch’s software.

The Apple Watch 6 is also tipped to get a handful of health and wellness features such as a blood oxygen monitoring system, improved fall detection, and the ability to feedback health data to emergency services such as age, BMI, and heart rate. Then there is a system that can help monitor your mental health by detecting changes in your physical condition that might indicate stress or anxiety.

The watch may also come in a blue color to match the rumored blue of the iPhone 12. The antenna system will likely be fused into the display itself, making the watch thinner. You won’t see it when you look at the screens, it’s hidden.

Fall detection will be getting an upgrade, when it detects a hard fall, it starts monitoring your movements and after a minute of immobility, it starts a 30-second countdown and taps you on the wrist while sounding an alarm which increases in volume to alert someone nearby. It can then notify others by calling them, such as family members, carer, or even the emergency services. It can also sound an alarm. Before it makes those calls, the Watch taps you on the wrist to ask if you’re alright. You can choose to say “I’m OK” to dismiss the alert or to call emergency services.

The feature is enabled by default on Apple Watches belonging to those over 55 years old, otherwise it’s activated in a setting.

Other upgrades include improved performance, boosted water resistance and a better wireless networking system to allow the Apple Watch 6 to work more independently of an iPhone.

The watch is expected to be priced the same as the current Apple Watch 5.
