Facebook will no longer ban users from searching for Kyle Rittenhouse or praising him

Facebook will no longer ban users from searching for Kyle Rittenhouse or praising him after he was acquitted of killing two Kenosha protesters - reversing the ban put in place two days after the shooting last year

  • Facebook lifted its restrictions that banned people who praise Kyle Rittenhouse and search for his name, following the teen's recent acquittal on all charges
  • However, Facebook  will continue to remove posts that glorify the deaths involved in the Kenosha shooting
  • The decision reverses a policy that Facebook put in place two days after the 2020 shooting
  • Rittenhouse will also be permitted to rejoin Facebook and other sites owned by its parent company, Meta
  • Meanwhile, Rittenhouse revealed that he is having the AR-15 he used to kill two in Kenosha destroyed, during an appearance on The Charlie Kirk Show Tuesday
  • During the interview, with host Kirk, 28, and right-wing journalist Jack Posobiec, 35, Rittenhouse said he did not 'want anything to do with' the weapon
  • The teen was acquitted of five felony charges, including first-degree intentional homicide, following the August 2020 shooting

    • The almighty FB granted permission. Really?

      • Yip, the kids in California now tell the Adults what they can and can't say and send them to time out. Facebook has become adult day care.
