Russia registered the world's first vaccine against coronavirus, dubbed Sputnik V, on 11 August, after it underwent clinical trials at two separate institutions: the Burdenko Main Military Clinical Hospital and the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. The vaccine has been tested on 76 volunteers, who were discharged from medical facilities in July after developing an immunity to SARS-CoV-2. The third phase of clinical trials of the Sputnik V vaccine will start on 9 September, according to the Russian Health Ministry which has gathered almost 31,000 volunteers to take part.

According to RDIF, the human adenoviral vector used by Russian scientists has been studied over a long period of time and has “a much greater safety track record” in comparison to the “novel unproven technologies such as monkey adenoviral vectors or mRNA” used by researchers abroad.

“The safety of the human adenoviral vector used in Sputnik V has been proven over decades in over 250 clinical studies, as human adenovirus has been shown to be the safest vaccine delivery mechanism and the most ‘organic for humans’, as human adenovirus has coexisted with humans for over 100,000 years,” RFID said in a statement on Wednesday.

This comes as AstraZeneca, which has been developing its own anti-COVID-19 vaccine in partnership with Oxford University, has paused its third round of trials over a “potentially unexplained illness” in a participant in the UK. Several Western states have voiced reservations about the safety of Russia's vaccine, but these have been dismissed by Russia's Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said that Russia will examine all the data on potential adverse reactions to Sputnik V, as the volunteers will be monitored through a special app. According to Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the situation over AstraZeneca halting its trials shows "the importance of every country having a package of several vaccines".

Russian president Vladimir Putin previously said that Russia would have a second vaccine, currently being developed by the Vector Institute in Novosibirsk, at some point in September. He also said in August that one of his daughters had already been vaccinated with Sputnik V.

The House went to court a year ago to get the grand jury material.

Well before beginning of impeachment proceedings related to allegations that President Trump held up aid to Ukraine for political reasons, as Biden claims to have done.

At the request of the Justice Department, the high court temporarily blocked the lower court order from going into effect.

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed Thursday to hear arguments this fall in the House Democrats' efforts to see redacted portions of report on Russian interference prepared by special prosecutor Robert Mueller.

The decision is a significant blow to House Democrats' efforts to see the material before the November election.

It’s time for the US to “get out of ridiculous endless wars”, President Donald Trump said on his decision to pull US troops deployed in Northeastern Syria back from an imminent anti-Kurdish incursion of the Turkish military.

“The United States was supposed to be in Syria for 30 days, that was many years ago. We stayed and got deeper and deeper into battle with no aim in sight,” Trump said in a Twitter thread on Monday just as US troops stationed in Northeastern Syria were reportedly pulling back from their positions, RT reported.

Trump claimed credit for “quickly” defeating the terrorist group Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) in Syria before explaining why he apparently chose to abandon Kurdish militias, who fought that battle with US air and artillery support, in their stand-off with Turkey.

“The Kurds fought with us, but were paid massive amounts of money and equipment to do so. They have been fighting Turkey for decades. I held off this fight for almost 3 years, but it is time for us to get out of these ridiculous Endless Wars, many of them tribal, and bring our soldiers home,” he noted.

“Turkey, Europe, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Russia and the Kurds will now have to figure the situation out, and what they want to do with the captured ISIS fighters in their ‘neighborhood.’ They all hate ISIS, have been enemies for years. We are 7000 miles away and will crush ISIS again if they come anywhere near us!” the US president added.

The US leader also complained about Washington failure to take responsibility for trying and jailing its citizens, who went to Syria to join IS and were later captured by the Kurds.

The US will not be a “sucker” to Europe on any issue, Trump declared.

Trump’s apparent washing of hands comes as Turkey is preparing an invasion into Syria targeting Kurdish militias, whom Ankara considers a terrorist force allied with a Kurdish insurgency on Turkey’s own territory. Ankara wants to establish a “safety zone” along the border between the two countries, arguing that as a side benefit it will allow Syrian refugees currently residing in Turkey to go back to their country.

The Syrian Kurds earlier said Washington failed to deliver on its commitment to protect them from the Turkish onslaught.

ROBERT MUELLER and his band of angry Democrats lied in their final report on operative Joseph Mifsud.

Mifsud was NOT a Russian operative as the Mueller report claimed he was.

Mifsud worked for Western intelligence, as confirmed by his attorney!

Maria Bartiromo: We know that there were informants thrown at certain Trump campaign people, like George Papadopoulos. George Papadopoulos was on this show and he told me directly on this show that Mifsud was the guy they wanted him to meet in Italy… That is the individual who told him that Russia has emails on Hillary Clinton. Why is that important, John?

John Solomon: Well, I interviewed Mr. Mifsud’s lawyer the other day, Stefan Rowe, and he told me and also provided me some deposition evidence to both Congress and myself that his client was being directed and long worked with Western intelligence. And he was being directed specifically, he was asked to connect George Papadopoulos to Russia, meaning it was an operation, some form of intelligence operation. That was the lawyer’s own words for this. If that’s the case that means the flash point the started the whole investigation was in fact manufactured from the beginning.
