• My ears perked up as I was listening to a report yesterday about how they found the Brown University shooter in part with the aid of a private company that operates (or maybe it was "installed"/or both) 70 cameras in the area. The firm created license plate readers and facial recognition software and helps law enforcement in crime surveillance.

    • Wow - I hadn't heard that. Only about some "homeless man" who was apparently living on campus (but school officials said they didn't know that), & he had posted something about the shooter on Reddit. None of what we're being told makes any sense at all.
